Bump Style with Cherry Melon Maternity
Woweeee this post is LONG overdue. Month 6 and 7 of my pregnancy was HARD and I just could not get around to taking these images. Thank heavens the lovely Micke from Mick Creative came to the rescue and we managed to get these photos taken so I can just show you how awesome (and comfortable) Cherry Melon clothing is.
I have always owned their basics. With James, I was pregnant throughout summer and I owned all their summer basic shirts – and man did I wear them out. Now with Amelia, dressing the (big) bump for colder weather was truly a challenge but Cherry Melon made it a little easier. Big plus? SO so SO so SO comfortable. No jokes – and comfy is what you need when you feeling like Shamu right?
Anyway, here are my favorite outfits I wore throughout my pregnancy (from March onwards). As I am typing this I am wearing their leggings and their long sleeve black shirt.
The first outfit I paired their charcoal harems with their white long sleeve top, tucked it in and added denim jacket I already own.
Next, I just untucked with the white shirt and pulled it over the charcoal harems.
So for a bit of color, I wore the yellow long sleeve top with light grey harems and of course – slippers. I love that this outfit can be worn around the house and out and about, just depends on how you dress it.
And then you can make a couple changes and take this outfit to date night ready. Or just a day out – depending on your style. Here I paired the yellow top with CM black leggings and one of their Kimono’s. Added some ankle boots and viola!

So the last outfit – light grey top with the same black leggings, a pair of converse and one of Cherry Melon’s layering tops. I love just wearing it loose like in the photos below.
So if you looking for comfort, ease and versatility, definitely go pop into Cherry Melon and check what you would add to your cupboard. PS – those stretchy harem pants are THE best after birth too. I wore mine so many times non-pregnant.
Shop their range online or in Canal Walk, Cape Town.

PS : Below is an image of how the leggings and harems hug your bump – I love it!
